We firmly believe that words and actions matter, which is why all individuals are to be treated equally and with respect.The pre-season Host assists with overall Park clean-up and preparation for the summer season.We Are Currently Looking For aNoah's Ark - Pre Season - SeasonalRoles & ResponsibilitiesWork Schedule/Shifts:This position runs from April 14th, through May 22nd with the possibility of further employmentAvailable to work Monday through Friday (some Saturdays if needed)Basic schedule is 8:00 am - 5:00 pmDepartmental DutiesJob Duties & Responsibilities: Clean-up of debris (leaves, dirt, stones, branches, trash, etc.)Assists in Department preparations (F&B, Park Services, Aquatics, Admissions & Retail, and Grounds)Prepare and clean park facilities (bathrooms, food stands, lockers, tables)Help maintain park landscaping (pulling weeds, mowing, mulching, leaf blowing, watering, pruning)Distribute equipment throughout the park (trash cans, lawn chairs, tables, benches, etc.)Cleaning of pools, attractions and surge tanksPower wash facilities, including pools, walkways, slide towersMaintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guestsContinuously monitors outdoor spaces for safety hazards (e.g. loose branches, tripping hazards, etc.)Perform all duties assigned by leadershipLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Education And ExperienceNo education requirements for this positionPrevious landscaping experience preferred but not requiredRequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor LawsMust have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shiftPreferred possession a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordAbility to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipmentAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess attention to detail and desire to keep park clean and presentableMust be able to safely operate a variety of hand and power landscaping tools, including lawn mowers, grass trimmers, and power washersAbility to resolve problems, issues, or concerns in a positive mannerAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, or squat for long periods of timeAbility to remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or moreAbility to tolerate high-decibel noise related to power equipmentAbility to rake, bend, sweep, and kneelAbility to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsAbility to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayWorking ConditionsThis role is predominantly based outdoorsFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditionsSubject to frequent repetitive motion, high noise levels, motorized equipment, power tools, and machineryTeam Member BenefitsTeam member benefits:Working at Noah’s Ark is about making people happy!
