Title: Software Engineer (Data / Python / GCP)Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)Duration: Initial 12-Month ContractAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (Data) to support large-scale data initiatives and cloud migration efforts. This role is focused on building and optimizing data solutions within a modern big data environment, leveraging Python and Google Cloud technologies.This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing data pipelines, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data processing solutionsSupport migration of existing infrastructure to Google Cloud environmentsWork with large-scale datasets using BigQuery and other big data toolsDevelop and optimize code using Python and related technologiesAnalyze and troubleshoot complex data engineering challengesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutionsEnsure data quality, performance, and scalability across systemsParticipate in planning and execution of data engineering initiativesQualifications5+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineeringStrong experience with PythonHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQueryExperience working with big data technologies (Hadoop or similar)Strong database experience (SQL and data modeling)Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Spark or distributed data processing frameworksBackground in cloud migration or infrastructure transformationFamiliarity with Java or additional programming languagesExperience working in Agile or Kanban environmentsAdditional DetailsHybrid schedule: 2 days onsite in Iselin, NJContract opportunity with potential for extensionCollaborative team environment focused on data innovationWhat They’re Looking ForHands-on data engineer with strong technical depthExperience working with GCP and big data environmentsStrong communicator who can collaborate across teamsDetail-oriented with a focus on performance and scalabilitySomeone who can quickly contribute to complex data initiatives
