Landscape Foreperson

Summary of Position:Assists Landscaping Manager in supervising and overseeing daily operations of the Landscaping Department.Essential Functions:Support and organize the daily activities of the crew to ensure timely completion of prioritiesAssist crew in daily maintenance i.e., trimming, planting, sprinkler repairs, new installations and property cleanlinessConduct property tours, critique and delegate accordinglyTrain new team membersAssist guests and give directionsMaintain shop cleanlinessMaintain trucks and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working order at all timesOther tasks as assigned by the Landscaping Manager, Assistant Directors of Property Operations, Director of Property Operations and/or the General Manager Qualifications: Education: High school or GED equivalent preferred.Experience: Five (5) years previous landscaping experience.Certificates or Licenses: Valid Driver's License and clean motor vehicle record. License checks will beconducted periodically.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of lawns, shrubs, trees and flowers and their needs for survivalAble to see and correct problems such as pests and diseaseKnowledge of sprinkler systemsAble to lift, push and pull items 20 - 90+lbs.Able to walk, stand, kneel and bend for extended periods of timeAbility to motivate the crew/fellow team membersAble to work during adverse weather conditions and tolerate extreme weather (90% of time is spent outdoors)Able to understand and communicate repair challenges and able to assist crew with challengesKnowledge of equipment and tools used in landscaping including sprinkler systemsSkills in planning and organizingExcellent in verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAble to listen, effectively accomplish task, and speak clearly Personal Characteristics: Behaves ethicallyOrganized: Maintain a neat, organized workspace, maintaining important documents pertinent to jobCommunicates effectively: Speaks and listens in a clear, thorough, and timely manner, effectively reading and writing, using the English languageProfessional Appearance: Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a four diamond resort (Specific grooming standards are available for review)
