Facility Crew- Facilities Infrastructure Maintenance and ConstructionNatorp Nursery is seeking a project-oriented team member for our nursery and greenhouse facility. Reporting to our Facilities coach, the Facilities Maintenance Team Member will have an aptitude to perform general maintenance, perform light construction duties, and work with irrigation systems, pump maintenance, and mechanical greenhouse control systems. A successful candidate will be motivated to carry out projects and must have experience, or the willingness to be instructed in the areas of power tool usage and be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs. The Facilities Maintenance Team Member will be expected to follow safe work practices at all times. We offer competitive wages and are seeking career-oriented individuals. Nursery employees must be at least 18 years old.Responsibilities:Light construction dutiesMaintain and install irrigation systemsPerform pump maintenanceMaintain greenhouse control systemsQualifications and Skills to include but not limited to the following:Mechanical aptitudeGeneral knowledge and skills for irrigation repair, light construction, use of power tools, environmental control systems and pump maintenance.Physically able to lift 100 lbs.Ability to be trained to operate a Bobcat, excavator, and forkliftAbility to operate a scissor liftPerform repairs on existing structures and/or new buildsPerform concrete workRepair irrigation breaks or leaksAbility to work indoors and outdoorsAbility to stand on feet all dayAbility to work overtime when necessaryApplicant must maintain and have a valid driver's license as well as an excellent driving record to qualify for this position.Participate and support safety programsCareer orientedAbility to be instructed and mentored for knowledge and learning while developing new skills.Good communication skillsPositive attitudeSelf-motivated and be instructedAbility to work with and through othersAbility to work in a team environment - treating people with fairness, respect while providing opportunities to learn.Project orientedThis is a full-time job.
