Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with high school-aged learners (grades 9–12) in a supportive school environment. Starting August 3, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027, you'll focus on a manageable caseload of 15 students in a CDC setting, promoting growth and success for each individual.Key qualifications and experience:Current Tennessee Special Education (SPED) license with 067 endorsementPrevious experience working in secondary special education environments is highly valuedAbility to plan, implement, and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs)Skilled in fostering a positive, inclusive classroom cultureStrong communication and teamwork skillsCore responsibilities:Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to high school SPED studentsCollaboratively develop and implement IEPs aligned to students' unique needsTrack and report on student progress and maintain accurate documentationWork closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers as part of a multidisciplinary teamEngage in regular communication with families, offering insights and educational updatesParticipate in school meetings, professional development, and any required trainingEnsure compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelinesBeyond the classroom, you'll enjoy a welcoming school culture committed to supporting both staff and students.
