We’re looking for a Telecom Systems Engineering Professional to join our team and deliver world-class designs for some of the most cutting-edge projects in the world. From semiconductor manufacturing to state-of-the-art research and industrial facilities, you’ll help create the communication systems that keep technology moving forward.Why Join Us?Work on high-profile projects for globally recognized clients.Collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team that values innovation and precision.This is a geographically flexible position in the US with strong preference for candidates located near Portland, OR, Tempe, AZ or Moon Township, PA.What You’ll DoDesign and document telecommunications systems for advanced facilities, including Outside Plant (OSP), backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedules.Use Revit (and occasionally AutoCAD) to create fully coordinated 3D BIM models across all design disciplines (C, S, A, M, E, P, T, I, L).Produce 2D construction drawings and ensure designs meet NEC, TIA, and other industry standards.Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers to deliver accurate, constructible solutions.Gain opportunities to lead portions of design work with oversight, expanding your technical and leadership skills.What We’re Looking ForExperience in telecommunications systems design for complex facilities.Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Ready to design the networks that connect the future? Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we will help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.Here's what you'll needTwo-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industry Knowledge and application of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) design practicesKnowledge & application of NFPA 70 (NEC) as applicable to telecommunications design requirements Knowledge & application of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards Experience leading telecommunications design team Knowledge of design and construction specificationsExperience estimating and scheduling small to medium sized projectsIdeally, you’ll also have  Associates or Bachelor's degree At least 3 years of telecommunications design experience for semiconductor, data center, or advanced manufacturing facilities Project management experience Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio visual systemsKnowledge and design experience with life safety and security systemsKnowledge of control systems and network topologyOne of more of the following certifications RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer), DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant), OSP (Outside Plant) or RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)#afelectronics #aftelecom #telecomengineerOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
