Client Service Associate
Job Summary
M&M Insurance Agency, LLC is seeking a Client Service Associate to support daily operations in a professional insurance agency. This role focuses on customer service, administrative support, and assisting the agency with policy servicing and follow-up.
This position is designed for someone who is organized, dependable, and interested in building a career in insurance. No insurance license is required at the time of hire; however, the employee must obtain and maintain active Insurance Producer licenses in Michigan and Wisconsin within 90 days of starting employment.
Licensing Requirements (Condition of Employment)
The employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate Insurance Producer licenses required to perform assigned job duties, as applicable, which may include:
- Property & Casualty
- Life
- Accident & Health
- Annuity
- Flood (if applicable)
Licensing exams must be scheduled by Day 45 and completed within 90 days of hire. Failure to obtain or maintain required licensure may result in termination.
Core Responsibilities – Unlicensed (Client Service Associate)
- Answer inbound phone calls, emails, and office inquiries professionally
- Assist clients with insurance ID cards, billing questions, payments, and EFT setup
- Process service requests and documentation under agency guidelines
- Enter and update client information accurately in agency systems
- Maintain clear, complete, and compliant records of all client interactions
- Schedule appointments and policy reviews for licensed staff
- Make outbound follow-up calls related to documentation, billing, and reviews
- Provide administrative and file support to licensed representatives
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer clients to licensed staff for quotes, recommendations, and binding
- Support retention and account rounding efforts where possible
Additional Responsibilities – Licensed
- Provide coverage recommendations and guidance
- Quote, bind, and issue insurance policies
- Process endorsements and policy changes requiring licensure
- Close cross-sell opportunities referred by CSA or identified through licensed reviews
- Execute retention strategies requiring licensed review or coverage changes
- Ensure compliant documentation and underwriting accuracy
Compliance Guardrail
Unlicensed staff may identify opportunities and refer clients but may not provide coverage advice, quotes, or bind coverage.
Licensing Cost Responsibility & Reimbursement
- Employee is responsible for all licensing study and preparation costs
- The Agency will reimburse the cost of one (1) state licensing exam per license, per state (Michigan and Wisconsin), regardless of the number of attempts required to pass
- The Agency will also reimburse the initial state license fees for Michigan and Wisconsin
- Reimbursement will occur after all required licenses are successfully obtained
- Licenses must be maintained in good standing as a condition of continued employment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional, courteous, and dependable work ethic
- Must pass a required background check at the applicant’s expense
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service or office experience
- Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services (not required)

Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
