Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for managing the perioperative environment, particularly for Endovascular and Plastic procedures. This role ensures high standards of patient care and procedural efficiency through effective collaboration with technical, nursing, and support staff. Key Responsibilities: Procedure Support: Prepare rooms pre- and post-procedure. Assist during surgeries and patient positioning. Set up and position imaging equipment and monitors. Quality and Safety: Ensure adherence to sterility, infection control, and safety protocols. Maintain "surgical conscience" and correct any breaks in technique. Patient Care: Safely transport and monitor patients, reporting any changes. Assist with patient transfers and confirm identity per policy. Operational Efficiency: Perform room turnover, clean, and reprocess instruments. Manage and maintain inventory, ensuring efficient use of supplies. Team Collaboration: Train new staff on perioperative procedures. Coordinate daily procedure room navigation with the team. Working Conditions: Moderate physical effort, including moving equipment and patients. Standing for extended periods; exposure to radiation, noise, chemicals, and biological materials. Wearing protective gear during procedures. Qualifications: 2 to 5 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgical environment. Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
