Procurement Buyer

Position OverviewThis role is a critical backfill for a senior-level individual contributor within the procurement team. The Procurement Buyer will play a key role in driving SAP expertise, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, and enhancing procurement data visibility and reporting. This position is not purely transactional and will provide meaningful strategic exposure.Essential Job FunctionsSupport strategic sourcing initiatives including RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiationsCreate and manage purchase orders while tracking supplier performance and delivery timelines (~20%)Serve as a key point of contact for supplier communication and relationship management (~20%)Maintain and improve procurement data integrity through SAP reporting and analytics (~60%)Utilize SAP S/4HANA to manage procurement workflows, reporting, and data structuresDevelop and analyze procurement reports using SAP and advanced Excel toolsIdentify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, automation, and visibilityPartner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and supply chain teamsSupport both direct and indirect procurement activities across multiple categoriesContribute to process improvements and evolving procurement team structureDesired Skills and ExperienceMinimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree required* Minimum of two (2) years of procurement, supply chain, or finance-related experience* Strong experience within ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)* Advanced Excel proficiency, including data analysis and reporting* Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes (direct and/or indirect)* Experience managing multiple priorities and working independently* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset________________________________________Preferred Qualifications* 3-10 years of procurement experience (flexible based on SAP expertise)* Experience within a food/CPG or manufacturing environment strongly preferred* Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Purchasing module* Experience creating RFPs, sourcing vendors, and negotiating contracts* Exposure to CapEx procurement or raw material sourcing* Familiarity with procurement trends, contract terms, and supplier agreements* Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities and reporting experience* Ability to travel locally between office and plant locations, with occasional domestic or global travelBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
