Biotech Sales Director – 8 years of experience

The company has developed more than 100 products and technologies serving leading pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and biotechnology organizations worldwide.We are seeking an experienced, results-driven, and talented Sales Director to accelerate revenue growth and expand strategic customer relationships across our product and service portfolio. The successful candidate will lead sales and business development initiatives, develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage key customer and distributor relationships, and identify new market opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong life science sales experience, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in biotechnology, molecular biology, or life science product sales.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue goalsLead, manage, and perform domestic and international sales activities, including proactive outreach to existing and prospective customers, quotation generation, and lead follow-upBuild and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and industrial customersExpand and manage distributor, OEM, and strategic partner relationshipsIdentify new market opportunities for enzymes, competent cells, molecular biology reagents, and custom servicesCollaborate with R&D and marketing teams to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiativesMonitor sales performance, forecasts, pipelines, and customer trends to optimize business growthNegotiate pricing, OEM, contracts, and strategic business agreementsAttend scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer meetingsMaintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting systemsRecruit, train, mentor, and support sales team members as the company continues to growQualifications & RequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (Ph.D. preferred), or a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business with strong knowledge of molecular biology products and workflowsMinimum 8 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences or biotechnologyExperience selling molecular biology reagents, enzymes, competent cells, diagnostic products, bulk sales/OEM services, or custom molecular biology services is strongly preferredExisting network within biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, or academic research markets is highly desirableExcellent sales, verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and coworkersProficiency with Microsoft Office software and familiarity with CRM and sales management toolsFamiliarity with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, WordPress, Mailchimp, and other digital marketing tools is a plusPrimarily an on-site inside sales role, with opportunities for limited outside sales and occasional travelResults-oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and driven by a strong hunter mentality for acquiring new customers, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the resilience to navigate business challenges and changing market conditionsWhy Join Intact Genomics?We offer company stock options, a competitive base salary and benefits package, uncapped commission opportunities, and performance-based bonuses and promotions.
