The company specializes in advanced processes including shot peening, grit blasting, thermal spray coating, and ultra-high pressure waterjet cleaning.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Controls Engineer located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Electrical Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and control systems, creating electrical schematics, developing electrical designs for automated machinery, and ensuring systems meet safety and performance standards. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, conducting testing and validation, and providing support during machine installations and commissioning.QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or UniversityExpertise in Electrical Controls and Electrical Engineering principlesStrong skills in Electrical Design and Control Systems DesignProficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving with electrical systemsAbility to read and create electrical schematicsExperience with PLCs, HMIs, and other control technologies is highly desirableStrong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaborationExperience in industrial automation or surface treatment machinery is a plusWillingness to travel on a limited basis as required.Strong written and communication skills.
