Company: AmeriCloud Telecom SolutionsEmployment Type: Full-timeWork Location: Hybrid (Frisco, TX / Remote)Salary: Market Competitive Role OverviewAmeriCloud Telecom is seeking an experienced Director – RF Engineering (Wireless & Solutions Engineering) to lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced RF and Wi-Fi communication systems. This role combines deep expertise in RF, cellular (4G/5G), and Wi-Fi networks with technical solution development to support complex telecom and enterprise wireless infrastructure projects.The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee engineering deliverables, and ensure high-performance wireless systems with strong Quality of Service (QoS) and user experience.⸻Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of RF, cellular (4G/5G), and Wi-Fi communication systems, including DAS, enterprise Wi-Fi, and private wireless networks. • Provide technical leadership and engineering oversight for wireless system architecture, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and QoS performance. • Perform and review RF propagation modeling, Wi-Fi survey analysis, link budget calculations, and antenna system design. • Oversee and approve engineering deliverables, including RF and Wi-Fi designs, heatmaps, coverage maps, and technical documentation. • Analyze wireless network performance using key metrics such as: • Cellular: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, throughput • Wi-Fi: RSSI, SNR, channel utilization, throughput, latency, packet loss • Design and optimize QoS frameworks across RF and Wi-Fi networks to ensure reliable performance for voice, video, and data applications. • Develop technical solutions and system designs to meet customer requirements for telecom and enterprise wireless deployments. • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to evaluate technical requirements and deliver wireless engineering solutions. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams responsible for RF and Wi-Fi system design, testing, and deployment. • Oversee engineering validation, testing, and troubleshooting, including walk testing, drive testing, and Wi-Fi surveys. • Support system integration and performance optimization across multi-technology environments (DAS, cellular, Wi-Fi).⸻Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in RF engineering, Wi-Fi network design, or wireless systems engineering. • Strong experience with: • RF systems (DAS, 4G/5G) • Enterprise Wi-Fi design and optimization • Wireless performance analysis⸻Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Experience with large-scale deployments (stadiums, airports, enterprise campuses). • Familiarity with tools such as Ekahau, RF planning tools, and network performance testing platforms. • Experience with QoS design, traffic prioritization, and network performance tuning.
