Structural Concrete Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Concrete Superintendent to oversee field operations for complex concrete projects. This leader will be responsible for coordinating crews, managing daily site activities, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.The ideal candidate is an expert in concrete construction—including foundations, horizontal structural elements—and has a proven track record of leading crews on site work projects Key ResponsibilitiesField SupervisionDirect and supervise concrete crews, subcontractors, and field personnel.Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily activities to meet project milestones.Oversee placement of foundations, walls, slabs and structural concrete systems.Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.Safety & ComplianceEnforce all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety protocols.Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure jobsite housekeeping standards.Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Coordination & CommunicationWork closely with project managers, engineers, and inspectors.Communicate effectively with crews to ensure clarity on expectations and goals.Coordinate deliveries of concrete, formwork, rebar, and materials.Manage RFI responses as they relate to field operations.Quality & ProductivityEnsure workmanship meets structural and architectural specifications.Troubleshoot field challenges and implement efficient work methods.Track manpower, equipment usage, and material quantities.Provide input on schedules, sequencing, and field logistics. Qualifications5+ years of experience supervising field crews in structural concreteStrong understanding of formwork systems, rebar installation, mix designs, and concrete placement techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and organizational skills.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field.OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
