Staff Accountant

Now Hiring: Staff AccountantWe're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rockport, TX. This role is critical to managing accurate financials for multiple entities. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records across multiple monthly accounts Reconcile bank accounts, A/P, A/R, and payroll accounts Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Prepare and post journal entries and intercompany adjustments Conduct monthly variance and balance sheet analysis Manage disbursements and deposits Support annual audits with accurate documentation Assist with payroll reports, W-2s, 1099s, and sales tax filings Support and train Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Prepare and monitor budgets, identify excess funds, and assist with cash flow forecasts Collaborate with CFO and support special projects Qualifications: Minimum 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience (general ledger and financial reporting) Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Products Experience in multi-entity and multi-department operations strongly preferred Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and documentation
