We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Body Shop Helper who will help us redefine the car-buying experience.The Body Shop Helper is responsible for assisting the technicians in repairing and restoring all assigned vehicles to pre accident condition.Assist in approaching the repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the processAssist in de-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts cartsAssist in pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisionsAssist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessaryAssist in performing quality repairs without passing on defectsConsistently utilize all required safety equipment and follows proper repair proceduresAdhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposalKeep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areasASE certification in body repairsAuto Body Vo-Tech certification or military equivalent experience preferredDemonstrate commitment to continued learning by ongoing participation in I-CARI-CAR Welding certificate a plusPeriodic lifting and carrying of objects over 50 poundsWill be required to reach above and below shoulder levelMust be able to push materials/parts carts and push cars (with assistance)Must be able to kneel, bend, squat and stoop for extended periods of time to complete or inspect repairsManual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipmentMay be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motionMay be required to inspect vehicles outdoors in inclement weatherMay be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair centerMust be able to wear protective equipment, including respiratorMust be at least eighteen years of ageMust have a valid Driver's LicenseMust be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)Company Benefits:Pay and Recognition:Weekly payPaid holidays & paid time offPaid trainingStock Awards (select management and front-line team members eligible)Insurance / Retirement:Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plansUp to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave)Paid Parental LeaveHealth savingsFlex spending accounts (tax-free)Short-term and Long-term disability plansLife Insurance (Whole Life and Term)401k with company matchPet InsuranceLearning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development:Digital career path tool to assist with career developmentContinuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management SystemProfessional growth and development opportunities.
