This position requires regular and direct interfacing with Mohawk's clients and carriers to ensure a high level of performance in the movement of goods through the domestic supply chain, from start to finish. The Domestic Logistics Coordinator must possess an inquisitive mindset to investigate and resolve problem shipments and other aspects of intermodal freight management.Responsibilities/Tasks include:Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier optionsBuild and track freight loads (FTL and LTL) in the Company's Transportation Management System (TMS)Negotiate with trucking companies to select carriersCommunicate regularly with truckers and carriers to build long-term, trusted partnerships and sell Mohawk servicesNegotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clientsMaximize brokerage coverage by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and suppliersComplete Routings with all the appropriate documents to provide to our pickup / delivery agents, airlines and clientsInterface with Mohawk suppliers to ensure accuracy of deliveries and recoveries of freight daily.Providing timely responses, regular status updates and accurate information to our clientsDesired Skills/Experience:1-3 years of experience working in freight brokerage/trucking/warehousing preferredCollege degree (Associates or Bachelors) preferred; major/concentration in logistics, supply chain, business, accounting or other applicable field of study preferredShould possess a strong attention to accuracy and detailMust possess polished, professional communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment and be receptive to professional feedback regarding developmental opportunitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and OutlookProfessional attitude, good work ethic and a desire to learn and contribute to the success of the businessIdeal candidates will possess the following attributes:A genuine passion and commitment to putting the interests of our Mohawk family and our customers first!Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management (practical and/or academic)A mindset that is highly attentive to accuracy and detailsAppreciation for the value of productive teamwork as well as individual accountabilityThe ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environmentMohawk Global is an equal opportunity employer.
