This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.Job Summary: The HR Generalist is the dedicated HR representative for the Conroe Panelmatic manufacturing location. This is a high-trust, site-level role where you represent the face of HR for the employees and leaders at your site. You will partner directly with site leadership to build a positive, compliant, and productive work environment, making independent day-to-day HR decisions, and escalating complex matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.This role is best suited for an experienced HR professional who is confident in their judgment, comfortable working with some autonomy, and eager to be a genuine partner to the business rather than a back-office processor. Your primary function will be to focus on what matters most: people, compliance, and culture.Job Duties:Employee Relations & Site PartnershipServe as the primary HR point of contact for all employees and managers at your assigned sitePartner with site leaders to identify workforce trends, address concerns proactively, and support a positive, inclusive work environmentProvide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices; escalate complex or high-risk matters to the HR ManagerSupport employee relations matters including documentation, investigations, corrective action, and PIPsBuild trust across all levels of the site by delivering timely, accurate, and confidential serviceOnboarding & OffboardingManage end-to-end onboarding for new hires at the site: I-9 verification, orientation scheduling, system setup, and first-day coordination with site leadershipEnsure compliance with I-9 requirements, including timely re-verifications for work-authorized employeesCoordinate offboarding activities including exit documentation, equipment return, and system deactivationContinuously develop and refine onboarding and offboarding procedures, analyzing trends to recommend improvementsPayroll Coordination & BenefitsPartner with the Payroll Specialist to ensure all site-level payroll changes (status changes, corrections, deductions, garnishments, bonuses) are submitted accurately and on timeServe as the site-level liaison for benefits administration: enrollment, open enrollment, qualifying life events, LOA coordination, and employee questionsEducate and assist employees with benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA, EAP, 401(k), and PTOCoordinate with third-party vendors on leaves of absence and accommodationsOversee recognition and community engagement programs, including administration in PaylocityImmigration SupportAssist employees and managers with immigration-related documentation and processes under the guidance of the HR ManagerCoordinate with external counsel and immigration vendors to track visa status, work authorization renewals, and compliance deadlines (OPT, H-1B, TN, EB)Maintain organized, audit-ready records for all work authorization documents Compliance & HR OperationsStay current on federal, state, and local employment law; ensure site-level HR practices remain compliant and well-documentedConduct annual employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and recommend site-specific initiativesSupport the Employee Events Team with engagement activities including quarterly events and the annual holiday partyProcess employee changes, draft HR correspondence, and maintain accurate records in PaylocityRequirementsBachelor's in human resources preferred or equivalent experienceThree years of experience in a generalist capacity.Three years of experience in an ATS system requiredHigh levels of organizational and time management skills requiredHigh levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills requiredHigh levels of reliability required Excellent communication skills both written and verbal requiredAbility to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check requiredAbility to physically push, pull, and lift 26 lbs. or more requiredAbility to stoop and bend requiredAbility to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time requiredAbility to travel 20% of the time domestically requiredAlignment with company core values requiredPreferred QualificationMBA in Human Resources or equivalent.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with event planning.Experience handling immigration processing (OPT, H1B, TN, EB).Familiarity with Paylocity.Experience with Workable.BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD100% medical premium paid for by Panelmatic for the employee-only level medical coverage 80% paid for by Panelmatic and 20% paid for by the employee on all other level medical coverage (ie employee plus child, employee plus spouse, family)401(k) contributions matched 100% up to 4% Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and paid personal and professional development providedPTO and paid holidays providedCareer advancement opportunities Competitive wagesFamily-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
