3rd Shift Battery Technician
Responsibilities Battery installation, maintenance, and repair – performing installations, maintenance, and repair of batteries in different types of equipment.
Troubleshooting – identifying and resolving issues related to battery performance and operation.
Record keeping – maintaining accurate records of battery inventory, maintenance, and repair activities.
Training – providing training and guidance to other team members and customers on proper battery handling and maintenance procedures.
Safety compliance – ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines related to battery storage, handling, and disposal.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
At least 2 years of experience in related field (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Experience in repairing and maintaining batteries of various types, including lead‑acid, lithium‑ion, and nickel‑cadmium.
Good understanding of electrical principles and safety protocols.
Ability to use specialized tools and equipment for battery maintenance and repair.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication skills and ability to provide clear explanations to customers regarding battery maintenance and repair procedures.
Location & Shift 500 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320
Shift 2, Monday–Thursday, 4:30pm–3:00am, Full time.
