Sterile Processing Technician This is a 13-week contract position. Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes, ensuring adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Reprocess surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes using appropriate techniques.
Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of instruments and equipment.
Document and track usage of medical instruments in accordance with facility policies.
Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient instrument availability.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum 1 year of charge experience preferred.
Required certifications: BLS, IAHCSMM/HSPA.Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Compact state license must be in hand at submission.
