Senior Python Integration Engineer (AI/LLM–MCP Integration)Build the Python services and MCP workflows that connect LLMs to enterprise monitoring tools — powering AI-driven alert enrichment, correlation, and incident automation across the VA's monitoring ecosystem. Reports to the APM Manager. Telework approved; occasional travel to regional sites.What you'll do:Design and build MCP servers and Python pipelines so LLMs can interpret alerts, pull context, and return enriched insights to VA monitoring platformsBuild automated correlation/reasoning that cuts noise and recommends escalation pathsWrite production-grade Python supporting 24x7x365 monitoring operationsPartner with Event Management/Major Incident teams to turn operational needs into AI-driven solutions, reducing MTTD/MTTRMentor others on Python, MCP, and AI automation practicesWhat you need:8+ years of professional software development, expert-level PythonExperience integrating LLMs/AI models into enterprise systemsFamiliarity with MCP or similar orchestration frameworksBackground in monitoring, event correlation, or incident management (federal/large-scale a plus)Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, or equivalent experience
