FLIGHT LINE MECH II (Legacy BU)

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for operating, testing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting all aircraft systems using approved aircraft data. Proficiently operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling. Must be able to interpret technical manuals and engineering data to support tasks. Complete assigned tasks within the allocated hourly budget and on schedule maintaining quality standards and performing the tasks within the guidelines of safety regulations and requirements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Perform at expected standards of safety, quality, schedule and cost Complete required training for assigned work and completion tasks Adopt continuous improvement practices in your daily work Embraces ACE values with peers and help create a work environment aimed at operational excellence Communicates and interact well with co-workers and management Maintains a clean and organized work area Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures Able to work autonomously on DGSM/DGT maintenance tasks, aircraft fuel systems, oxygen systems, hydraulic systems, and aircraft launch and recovery, on assigned falcon aircraft Complete work tasks using Falcon production computer systems, eLog 150, Squawk Management, and CAMS Properly document work time using Shop Floor Management Performs all other duties as assigned NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED Basic computer skills Minimum of 2 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic (experience is not cumulative) Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment Capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures Able to work on maintenance stands, lifts and ladders, and work in confined spaces in unusual positions with or without reasonable accommodation Able to lift minimum 50lbs and able to enter and exit the aircraft using steps and/or stairs Must not be allergic to jet fuel, oils, hydraulic fluids or cleaning solvents ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft experience, preferably on Falcon aircraft Experience in a production atmosphere Experience with aircraft completion tasks WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels, and in confined spaces. Will work with company's approved adhesives and chemicals and exposed to aircraft environmental hazards. This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position because it includes as part of the essential job duties operating equipment and tools on a routine basis. Additionally, the duties of this position concern the service and completion of aircraft, and overall airworthiness of the aircraft. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of this employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while performing safety activities. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The compensation for this position typically falls between $27.00 and $31.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
