Children's Ministry Curriculum Coordinator (Preschool)

The Children's Ministry Curriculum Coordinator (Preschool) prepares, compiles, and distributes curriculum and resources to the campuses so that appropriate lessons and resources are available and ready to use at weekend services. Additionally, they support in preparing age-appropriate and engaging curriculum documents for kids participating in the weekend services in Discovery Village. In this way, the Discovery Village Curriculum Administrator & Coordinator supports Discovery Village campus staff and volunteers as they lead children to become lifelong followers of Christ. What you will do:Copy and distribute weekly curriculum and resources for supply totes Purchase supplies, crafts, games and organizational tools necessary for weekly program (small and large group) Monitor curriculum budget and report all purchases by submitting timely receipts Compile and prepare digital curriculum documents Assist Weekend Coordinators by sending digital curriculum documents weekly and helping determine curriculum needs Identify, recruit, train, and encourage volunteers who assist with curriculum preparation Organize and maintain a clean and manageable curriculum work room and storage area Participate in the planning and implementation of Discovery Village programming Prepare digital curriculum documents using digital tools including Word, Excel, Canva, and Adobe Prepare, select, and implement age-appropriate and engaging curriculum for children in Discovery Village Modify curriculum to meet the specific needs and goals of Discovery Village programming Assess curriculum needs - supplies, printing, and editing - on a weekly basis with Curriculum Supervisor Participate on the curriculum planning and review team as needed Assist with weekend events and Sunday mornings as needed Who we're looking for:We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping kids learn about Jesus and seeing them come to know, love, and follow him throughout their lives. Our ideal candidate has experience participating in children's ministry as a volunteer or staff. Formal education beyond a high school diploma is not required, but college coursework in children's ministry or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is required. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Canva is preferred. Beyond this, you might be a good candidate for this position if you are... Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and complete them efficiently and accurately Able to manage details and follow routine procedures Able to interact with a variety of people in a variety of circumstances, adapting interpersonal style accordingly Able to recruit, build, and lead a team of volunteers to affect children's ministry outcomes Able to work when the job requires it which includes Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as occasional holidays and weekend events Last but not least, we're looking for someone who is eagerly committed to following Christ and exhibits a thriving relationship with him.
