Civil Project Engineer I – Land Development

We are a growing civil engineering firm focused on land development projects across Southwest Florida. As an early-stage company, this role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with leadership, gain hands-on design experience, and grow quickly within the organization.We are seeking a motivated, early-career Civil Engineer to support our land development projects. This is a primarily office-based design role focused on site civil engineering—not construction.This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, grow quickly, and take on increasing responsibility, with the potential to move into a Project Management track within 12–18 months.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in site civil design for land development projects, including: grading, drainage / stormwater systems, utilities (water, sewer, etc.), roadway layoutsSupport development of engineering plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3DPerform engineering calculations related to stormwater management, earthwork and quantities, utility systemsAssist with preparation of technical reports, exhibits, permit application materialsReview and organize: survey data, topographic information, geotechnical reportsCoordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and consultantsSupport permitting efforts and exposure to local/state development regulationsConduct data collection, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimate support as neededParticipate in project meetings and support overall project deliveryQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 monthsProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (academic or professional)Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, small-team environmentPreferred ExperienceInternship or full-time experience with a civil engineering consulting firmExperience or exposure to land development projectFamiliarity with local, state, or municipal development codes and permitting processesExposure to stormwater modeling tools (e.g., ICPR, HEC-RAS, Hydraflow, EPA SWMM)CompensationSalary: $65,000–$75,000 (flexible for the right candidate)Annual bonus based on company and individual performanceWhy Join UsBe part of a growing engineering firm at an early stageWork directly with leadership and gain accelerated experienceTake on meaningful responsibility early in your careerHelp shape the future of the firm as it scalesThis job is part of LinkedIn’s Full-Service Hiring beta program.
