Current licensure as a radiation therapist in Ohio. ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Technology is required. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Experience with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA version 15 is essential. Knowledge of Vision RT is highly preferred, but not mandatory.Professional Skills and Experience Experience in adult acute care and outpatient settings. Familiarity with treatment modalities, including: External Beam Therapy Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Prostate Cancer treatment with Seeds/Fiducials Respiratory Gating techniques Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) Benign Brain Tumors treatment Heterotopic Bone treatments Prophylactic Treatments Experience in patient education and family teaching. Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions. Experience in treatment planning systems, specifically Eclipse (Varian) and record & verify systems (Varis-Vision/ARIA).Patient Care and EnvironmentPatient Age Groups: Adults, GeriatricsDaily Census: 50-60 patientsFacility Type: Outpatient clinic with 2 Varian TrueBeam systems and 1 CT simulator.Additional Information Expected orientation hours: 40 hours. Patient ratios: Days - 1:2; Nights - 1:2. Float required. Interdisciplinary support available, including interpretation services. Primarily treating breast and prostate cancers, with some GYN and metastatic disease cases.
