Admissions Operations Manager / Admissions Coordinator

The Admissions Operations Manager / Admissions Coordinator plays an important role in the success of our high-functioning, efficient independent school admissions office. The Admissions Operations Manager / Admissions Coordinator is a “swiss army knife” of skills that blends managing multiple priorities, hospitality, database management, and a focus on keeping the office running professionally.Key Responsibilities IncludeManaging databases of prospective students, including ensuring that communication plans are implemented (list creation, reporting, etc). Help families troubleshoot issues with the database. Managing enrollment and re-enrollment of students ensuring timely completion of these important tasks and data accuracy.Serving as primary contact for in person, email, and telephone inquiries. Works to finalize application files, follows up with applicants when specific items are missing.Scheduling admission tours and visits. Supporting admission events with set up and breakdown.Welcome families to our campus, and ensure visitors are treated with courtesy and respect. A needed, conducts campus tours and participates in open houses.Fluently deploys Google Suite productivity tools (GMAIL, Sheets, etc) and MS Office tools (excel). Models discretion and diplomacy. Being or becoming an expert with Blackbaud enrollment management software.Produces reports for the team so progress can be tracked.Other Qualifications IncludeWarm welcoming personality paired with a desire to do whatever it takes to ensure the school is shown in its very best light.Maintains a positive outlook and helps maintain upbeat forward-looking culture.Is proactively solutions-oriented, and creative about troubleshooting.Cultural competence and a genuine curiosity about people. Strong communication and organization skills. Available for some evening and weekend responsibilities. Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be willing and able to drive students in 15-seat passenger vans. Must pass background checkCPR and First Aid Certified (Applewild offers certification course) Able to comfortably and frequently walk our hilly campus, and to pick up 50-pounds.Applewild is a day and junior boarding school on 42 acres located one-hour from Boston in North Central Massachusetts. We serve 370 students from infancy through the 9th grade. Our residential program serves students in grades 3-9 and we have 70 beds available and students from around the world and across the country are welcomed each year.CompensationThis is a full-time, 12-month position. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and the job responsibilities ultimately negotiated. The salary range is $45-65k.
