Job Description Civil Engineer II is responsible for analysis, development and permitting of ground mount utility scale solar farms. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and evaluate site constraint analysis, including zoning, topography, environmental, soilsDirect and/or develop array layouts with AutoCAD Civil 3DPrepare soil erosion & sediment control and stormwater plans, details and calculations for permit submittal to AHJDirect Civil Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise site/civil plans and calculationsPrepare revisions and responses to AHJ commentsSupervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Civil Designers and Engineers.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited universityEngineer-in-Training requiredRegistered Professional Engineer or obtainable within 1 yearMinimum four (4) years relevant work experienceProficient with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with design of PV projects (desired)Comfortable presenting to and interacting with consultants, authorities with jurisdiction, and regulatory agenciesPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:Work is performed in the office and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to weather elements when in the field.
