Manufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing operations and production personnel to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role leads and coordinates training and cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility, capability, and coverage. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides direct supervision to production staff, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures consistent execution of production plans, policies, procedures, and standard work.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesPromote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environmentProvide mentorship, development, coaching, and appropriate feedback for team member career pathing and growthSupport and coordinate staffing needs including cross-training and skills developmentDirectly supervise production personnel, managing their production schedules and standard work execution dailyConduct performance evaluationsEnsure company policies and procedures are followed; assist with corrective action and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policy as neededEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership & CommunicationDevelop and grow team member skills, aligned to support our operations roadmapAct as a liaison between the Manufacturing Manager and the production team members to ensure clear communication and alignmentCommunicate production performance, risks, and issues to management in a timely mannerSupport training initiatives, standard work development, and skills progression for the teamAssist department and company leadership with special projects and assignments as neededSafety & QualityEnforce safety standards and safe work practices; lead by example in maintaining a strong safety cultureEnsure production processes comply with quality standards, work instructions, and regulatory requirementsSupport investigations of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify effectivenessConduct floor audits, inspections, and compliance checks as requiredContinuous ImprovementIdentify and drive opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gainsLead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, standard work)Ensure improvements are documented, trained, and sustained on the production floorProduction & OperationsSupervise daily production activities to ensure schedules and targets are metAssign labor, balance workloads, and address production constraintsServe as the primary escalation point for production, quality, safety, and equipment issues on the floorPartner with the Manufacturing Manager and supply chain roles to execute production schedules and adjust priorities as neededMonitor equipment performance and coordinate to minimize downtimeRequirementsQualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesRequiredBachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field OR equivalent leadership experience in manufacturingMinimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (Lead, Supervisor, or equivalent)Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systemsDemonstrated ability to supervise and develop teamStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office SuitePreferredElectronics manufacturing experienceExperience supporting or leading continuous improvement initiativesExperience working with an ERP system
