Job Description Job purposeApply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.As our Welder, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will be working with the latest technology and equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Duties and responsibilitiesRead simple blueprints and drawings Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of welds based on project needsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyTest and inspect welded surfaces to detect flawsAlways follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiencyAlign components using callipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesReport on damages to machines and equipmentSupport business needs in current position and other departments as neededQualificationsProven experience as a welder or schoolingExperience using a variety of welding equipment and proceduresAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)Attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitudeHigh School diploma/GED preferredProfessional certification is a plusWorking conditionsWelders wear protective clothing and goggles for safety. Welders may work in a confined area designed to contain sparks and glare. They occasionally must lift heavy objects and work in awkward positions.
