As an Account Executive for Key Accounts you'll be responsible for selling new, fully insured, and self-insured business in the 51+ employee segment.If you are located in North Carolina or South Carolina, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. If you're located in Charlotte, you'll be hybrid in the office 3 days a week.Primary Responsibilities:Sales representative for UHC Key Accounts is responsible for broker and direct sales to customers in the 51 - 5,000 employee range. The principal focus is the sale of new fully insured business, and Self-Funded business with indirect responsibility for the retention of existing accountsNew Business Sales:Accountable for prospect from presale to implementation with extensive experience managing complex RFPsAbility to develop complex sales solutions: Self-Funded, Fully Insured Level Funded, Stop Loss, High Performing Networks, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision and Financial ProtectionProactive CRM pipeline managementLeads cross-functional team to achieve positive sales resultsIdentifies opportunities for Ancillary/Enterprise products on all new salesTravel as required - 50% of the timeRelationship Building:Collaborate with and develop key broker/consultant relationshipsDevelop and maintain internal relationships across a matrixed organizationUnderstand customer and broker needs and provide value-added consultationIdentifies key brokers/consultants for management developmentPresent a positive image of UHG in the marketplaceCommunity involvement through professional organizations, associations and local organizationMiscellaneous:Maintain current knowledge of all UHC products, services, and underwriting practices and principlesEffectively communicate UHG/UHC strategies and mission to the marketplaceMaintain knowledge of competitor products and services and how UHC can effectively differentiate ourselvesOrganized self-starter who thrives in a high performing team environmentYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Sales insurance license must be maintained as required by state law or ability to obtain upon hire2+ years of insurance sales/account management experience, including selling or managing2+ years of experience selling health care products through direct sales or brokers2+ years of experience obtaining and exceeding sales goals2+ years of experience building and maintaining positive, constructive working relationships with senior level executives both internally and externallyDriver's License and access to reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:Detailed experience selling 51+ employee complex opportunitiesDetailed knowledge of Fully Insured, Self-Funding arrangements, Third Party Administrator platforms, and Level FundingDetailed knowledge of network contracts, including discounts and High Performing NetworksDetailed knowledge of pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management solutions*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,000 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
