This role combines hands-on machining with leadership responsibilities, including guiding team members, troubleshooting complex machining issues, and supporting high-precision manufacturing work.Key ResponsibilitiesLead 2nd shift machining operations and ensure production targets are metSet up and machine complex, high-precision componentsTroubleshoot machining and setup issues to minimize downtimeMaintain tight tolerances and ensure adherence to quality standardsSupport, mentor, and provide guidance to machining team membersInterpret blueprints and GD&T requirements accuratelyCollaborate with engineering and inspection to ensure part conformanceMaintain safe, organized, and efficient work practicesQualificationsRequired Experience7+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-precision environment (aerospace or defense preferred)Prior leadership or lead machinist experience requiredStrong blueprint reading skills and deep understanding of GD&TPreferred Skills5-axis CNC machining experienceExperience working with Inconel, Titanium, or other exotic materialsStrong problem-solving skills in complex machining environments
