The Participant Account Specialist will represent Mutual of America in a sales and marketing capacity conducting group and individual meetings on-site at a Regional Office’s group client.Responsibilities:Assist in the rollout and enrollment of participants in newly established 401k and 403b plans through group and individual meetingsEnhance the company’s relationship with the participants, while cross selling individual products during on-site group and individual employee meetingsActively network and prospect new participants to add to Mutual of America’s product suiteIncrease enrollment, contributions and obtaining transfers from current group plan participantsThe PAS will be responsible for following up on direct mail, advertising and website leads forwarded to the Regional officeActs as a financial liaison with participants on all matters concerning individual products, including investment alternatives offered under the contractCollaborate and present with other colleagues to show and prove our service model to prospects who are on the verge of buying our group productsCoordination of client service matters with local Regional Office service staff and any appropriate home office departmentsRequired Qualifications:At least two years of sales experience or equivalent industry experienceExperience in presenting in a group setting to a variety of size groupsIndividual sales experience and being comfortable with cold callingGeneral business acumen with strong motivation and communication skillsActive FINRA Series 6 and 63 or must obtain within the first 180 days of employmentActive State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within 180 days of employmentValid driver’s license requiredPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferredCRPS designation preferred after 5 years in sales related positionKnowledge of products underwritten by the company (401k and 403b retirement plan)What we offer you:Competitive base salaryComprehensive Benefits Package (medical, dental, and vision) that starts day one of employment401(K) Match: Receive up to 6% of your pay (salary and incentive compensation) with 100% employer match on employee contributions.Parental Leave: 8 weeks fully paidPaid time off: 20 days plus two floating personal holidaysThe salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this role.
