Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared with attention to quality, presentation, and taste.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Assist with menu planning and development as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Experience in fine dining is preferred but not mandatory.
