TITLE: ESY Special Educational AssistantQualificationsHigh school graduatePreferably college experienceExperience working with childrenMust be able to lift 30 poundsREPORTS TO:Teacher(s) assignedCONFERS WITH:Teacher(s), Specialists, and Building Coordinator(s)JOB GOAL:To implement instructional activities and programs as directed.Performance ResponsibilitiesWork with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.Special Education Assistants: Work with students with identified special needs, or who require additional educational assistance as defined in an individual education plan (IEP). Assistants provide support in the appropriate educational setting.Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.Carry out instructional or developmental activities suggested by the teacher, specialist, or others designated by the building administrator.Maintain competency and skills through a variety of available offerings.Educational Assistants may be responsible for personal care needs of student(s)Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.2026-2027 HOURLY SALARY: $19.56 plus $1.00 for a certification from the NH Department of Education as a paraeducator II or as a teacher. An Educational Assistant who is currently certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) will receive a $3.00 per hour differential.HOUR/DAY: 3 hours per session (9:00-12:00)ESY SESSIONS: 15 ESY Sessions from 7/7/26-8/6/26
