This position is also accountable for the procurement of all vendor goods while striving to maintain the best price and purchasing quantities as possible.Essential Functions:Create and distribute jobs based on engineering masters in the ERPSchedule jobs based on the optimization of shop resources and cost effectivenessWork directly with the sales team to communicate production time estimates, ensure custom and OEM products are delivered on timeClose and analyze all jobs in the ERP as they are completedCreate and maintain cost metrics on every active part in the ERP to use in the evaluation of the production process and pricing tiersWork with the Controller to set and maintain proper inventory levelsSolicit and maintain outside services and material quotes from vendorsCreate purchase orders based on demandWork with the Production Engineer and the Product Manager to allow for lot purchasing where appropriateWork with Department Managers to procure infrastructure items as needed for daily operationsWork with the accounting department to ensure purchasing requirements do not exceed cash flow restrictionsNegotiate terms and conditions directly with vendorsWork with the Production Supervisor to maintain product flow from overseas vendorsReconcile invoices with Accounts Payable as requiredMinimum Qualifications:3 years in production planning or production coordination of manufacturing environmentsProficiency working within ERP, preferred experience with Infor Visual system
