Senior SQL Database Developer

Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.Job Description:Insight Global is seeking a Senior SQL Database Developer to support a large-scale enterprise database environment. This role will focus on developing and optimizing database solutions, collaborating with application developers, and improving performance across complex SQL Server environments.Day to Day:Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, and views. Create and enhance SSIS packages, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.Develop and maintain SSRS reports and reporting models with dynamic user-driven filtering and parameters. Support SSAS/Azure Analysis Services cubes, dimensions, and data models.Analyze database structures and query performance to identify optimization opportunities.Design and implement indexing strategies and performance tuning solutions.Partner with development teams to support application and reporting requirements.Work within a large enterprise-scale database environment containing hundreds of databases and thousands of tables.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE6+ years of SQL Server database development experience.6+ years developing and maintaining complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, and views.6+ years working with SSIS, including advanced ETL development and custom scripting.6+ years creating complex SQL queries and performance optimization solutions.6+ years building and maintaining SSRS reports and reporting models.6+ years working with SSAS or Azure Analysis Services.5+ years supporting large data warehouse environments and enterprise database architectures.Strong understanding of indexing, query tuning, execution plans, and database performance analysis.Experience with data warehouse concepts including star schema, snowflake schema, data marts, and data lakes.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience with database performance monitoring and optimization tools.Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, or Databricks.
