Order Selector - Dayshift

Starting pay: Between $16.25 and $19.50 per hour, with a possible raise of $0.50 per hour after 90 days, plus extra pay based on performance.Location: 5561 Grayson Road in Harrisburg, PA.Hours: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PMWork Environment: Warehouse temperatures range as low at -10 degrees to as high as 80 degrees. SUMMARY: Order selectors are responsible for filling customer orders and delivering the finished pallet to the correct loading dock in a manner that meets company standards for safety and productivity.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to food and safety policies and quality standardsEfficiently select customers’ ordersCorrectly label each case with a pick label to help drivers identify product neededEnsure that the correct quantity and product is selected and shippedLocate and select product using a voice-driven selecting systemBuild pallets with orders and deliver them to the correct loading doorShrink wrap completed pallets before placing them on the loading dockMaintain a consistent pace to work in a fast-paced working environmentMaintain equipment and report on malfunctions or safety hazardsSKILLS REQUIRED:Ability to operate an electric pallet jackAbility to lift cases of product weighing up to and sometimes exceeding 70 lbsAbility to properly stack product within the parameters of the pallet based on case weight to avoid product damageAbility to correctly read and identify product descriptions and locate product locations to ensure orders are selected properlyAbility to read English and perform simple mathematical calculationsAbility to work in temperature varied environments and handle the demands of the departmentsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Knowledge and experience using a voice-driven pick systemKnowledge and experience operating an electric pallet jackBenefits are a major part of your overall compensation, and we believe offering them at an affordable cost is not only the right thing to do, but it helps keep you and your family healthy.
