About The ProgramAhead of the 2024 elections, Movement Labs is launching a political tactic incubator with unprecedented ambition. Our goal is to explore, analyze, and scale innovative strategies that persuade, mobilize, and register voters to counteract Trump's influence. We are committed to investing millions in successful initiatives, focusing on new organizing programs and turnout tactics. These efforts will target low-turnout, high-opportunity voters in marginalized communities, persuade Republican voters toward Kamala Harris, and enhance voter registration efforts. The objective is to garner 50,000 votes for Harris ahead of the November Election.About The RoleWe're on the hunt for a dynamic Campus Organizer to join our Political Innovation team. If you're a charismatic individual with an innate passion for organizing, this role is for you! As a Campus Organizer, you'll be the driving force behind our on-campus turnout-experiments, bringing your energetic approach to key universities and graduate schools.In this role, you'll thrive on building vibrant communities, meeting new people, and expanding our volunteer teams. Your knack for mentoring others and fostering team cohesion will be crucial as you work to mobilize students and amplify our impact.This role will work with students from state schools and community colleges in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.ResponsibilitiesRecruit, train, and manage a team of paid fellows and volunteers who will:Mobilize their peers to register to vote and vote by mail Persuade other students to turn out in support of Kamala Harris. Build relationships quickly with student organizations, campus leaders, and faculty alliesCreate and distribute campaign materials, including flyers, posters, digital content, training materials, and moreOrganize fun and engaging events online and on-campus, including but not limited to:Dorm-storming, high-traffic canvassing, relational organizing, and moreUtilize social media and digital tools to enhance outreach and engagement efforts on campusesTrack and report on program progress and outcomesOther duties as assignedRequirementsCan start ASAPBe located in Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan or PennsylvaniaHave a passion for inspiring and empowering young people to get involved in the political processBe excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective GOTV tacticsBe eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers)Be scrappy and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneouslyBe a self-starter, exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skillsBe a team player who shines as an individual leader while taking a collaborative approach to working with others to achieve shared objectivesExperience operating in a high-paced, metrics-based environment, with strong time management, project management, and organization skillsBe able to use or learn to use digital tools like: Asana, Slack, Mobilize America, Airtable, and moreBe able to work weekends and irregular hours as requiredHave access to reliable transportationBeing located near one of our focus campuses is a plus.
