Terms/Schedule Mon - Fri, 8 hours per day Appointment Type Full Time Description JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and the Director of Continuous Improvement with tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the departments. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the development and management of department budgets, including state and federal grants. Coordinates department purchasing including purchase orders, contracts, and credit cards. Coordinates and writes content for department newsletters and communications to staff. Updates and maintains department website pages throughout the school year. Creates content and graphic design for department materials, including independently researching topics. Coordinates communications with school district staff and community stakeholders. Maintains oversight of online resources, tools, textbooks, supplies, and equipment for the department. Provides clerical support to curriculum workgroups and grade levels and work with teams to general orders for curriculum materials. Prepares correspondence for the School Board agenda. Supplies information as requested to other school systems, teachers, support staff and the public. Updates board policy documents for the department of teaching and learning. Assists the district administrator’s office with annual reporting as required by state and federal law. Assumes such scheduling, coordinating, budget development and clerical functions as the Directors may assign. Manages the Director’s calendars in order to provide for the most efficient use of time. Attends meetings and prepares and reviews reports as assigned by the Directors. Provides support on special projects such as strategic planning and professional development for staff. Serves as a member of various committees and task forces as assigned. Responds to a wide variety of calls, concerns, and complaints for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information, and referring to appropriate personnel. Works with a variety of software programs for the department. Maintains the necessary records in accordance with federal and state retention regulations. Performs all other duties as assigned by Administration. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Capable on a continuous basis: standing, sitting, reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, twisting, repetitive movement of both hands seeing with both near and far visual acuity. Capable on a frequent basis: walking and moving, climbing stairs, lifting from floor to waist (up to #25), lifting from waist to shoulders (up to #25). Capable on an occasional basis: pushing, pulling, and lifting from shoulders to overhead (up to #25). REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Instruction Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.
