Valve Assembler - 2nd Shift

This position is focused on producing valves and valve components. Our company size of just over 50 people provides an opportunity for everyone to make a big impact on our success, and this position is critical in our operation. We are proud of our products and even more proud of our team!This position is 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 3:30pm - 1:30am with a 30-minute paid meal break. 10% shift differential pay. Must be available to train Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm before transitioning to assigned 2nd shift.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview the work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other componentsClean valve and fitting assembly components following requirements that are called outVisually inspect components for defects prior to assembly, ensuring highest level of qualityAssemble product following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materialsConduct pressure test on assembled valves to verify they meet requirementsRecord assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practicesMaintain tools and equipment, including preventative maintenanceMaintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsHelps to maintain assembly area supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying supervisor when levels are lowWork in the cleanroom when required, following all cleanroom procedures to assemble product in that environmentCross-train in other departments as neededAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma, technical education a plusMechanical aptitudeAttention to detailAble to read basic blueprintsProficient in use of mechanical tools and measuring devicesQuality focusPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork environment is on the plant floorAbility to stand for long periods of timeNoise may be moderate to loudMust be able to wear proper PPEMust be able to lift 50 poundsBenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate on experience plus 10% shift differential4-day work weekGenerous paid time off plan and 10 paid holidays401k match up to 6%Major medical and dental insurance, as well as company-paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance
