Who We Are:The Emerging Career Professionals (ECP) department is a new and innovative initiative of the OU, dedicated to empowering and supporting Orthodox Jewish young professionals. Through targeted programs and partnerships, ECP seeks to foster meaningful Jewish engagement, leadership development, and community connection in key cities across North America.The Orthodox Union (OU) is one of the largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol, Ⓤ, is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.Position Summary:The ECP Program & Community Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, recruitment flow, and participant engagement of ECP’s Leadership programming. They will be the primary leader of the execution and rollout of ECP Leadership programs, ensuring that programs run smoothly, participants feel connected and supported, and community engagement remains active and responsive across initiatives.The Program & Community Coordinator plays a critical role in translating ECP programming into meaningful participant experiences and maintaining the momentum, warmth, and consistency that drive long-term engagement.Responsibilities:Recruitment & Participant OnboardingRecruit participants and emerging leaders into ECP programmingMaintain onboarding processes and participation tracking systems across programsFollow up with participants and leaders to ensure strong engagement and retentionSupport outreach efforts and relationship-building with prospective participantsHelp maintain clear and organized participant flow across initiativesProgram Execution & CoordinationCoordinate logistics and day-to-day execution of ECP programs and eventsEnsure programs run smoothly, efficiently, and on scheduleSupport communication and coordination between staff, leaders, and participantsCoordinate operational details and troubleshoot real-time program needsMaintain strong organization and follow-through across multiple initiativesCommunity Engagement & Relationship ManagementServe as a consistent relational presence within the ECP communityBuild strong relationships with participants, leaders, and community membersEnsure participants feel welcomed, supported, and connected to ECPMaintain regular communication and responsiveness across programsHelp strengthen ongoing engagement and community continuity between events and initiativesProgram Support & ImplementationSupport the implementation of leadership programming and participant experiencesCoordinate alongside the Leadership Educator to ensure leadership initiatives are executed effectivelyHelp maintain consistency and alignment across ECP programmingProvide operational and relational support for departmental initiatives and national programsQualifications:1 to 3 years of experience in community engagement or relationship-driven nonprofit workStrong interpersonal and communication skillsHighly organized with strong follow-through and responsivenessAbility to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneouslyWarm, energetic, relational, and people-orientedStrong problem-solving instincts and operational ownershipAbility to work collaboratively across teams and programsWillingness for occasional travel to communities across North AmericaPersonal and professional alignment with ECP values and visionSalary & Benefits:The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience.Health, Dental & Vision Insurance:The OU offers health insurance through an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA).
