Our residents-known as Villagers-live with dignity, purpose, and connection across our campus.The Assisted Living Community (ALC) plays a critical role in creating a home where Villagers feel supported, respected, and engaged in meaningful daily life.Position PurposeThe Assisted Living Operations Manager provides day-to-day leadership of the Assisted Living Community, ensuring strong team performance, high-quality care, and a consistent, person-centered experience for every Villager.This role serves as a key operational leader-supporting staff, reinforcing accountability, and creating an environment where both employees and Villagers can thrive. While not a licensed Administrator, this role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence and supporting compliance.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeading the Community ExperienceCreate and maintain an environment where Villagers feel safe, respected, and truly at home Ensure daily operations support meaningful engagement, dignity, and quality of life-not just task completion Stay connected to the day-to-day experience of Villagers and staff, addressing needs in real time Leading and Developing PeopleLead, coach, and support Assisted Living team members to deliver consistent, person-centered care Set clear expectations and follow through to ensure accountability and growth Be a present, approachable leader who supports the team through both challenges and successes Build a culture where teamwork, respect, and ownership are the standard Ensuring Quality Care and ConsistencyEnsure services are delivered in alignment with each Villager's needs, preferences, and care plans Promote consistency across shifts so every Villager receives the same level of care and attention Recognize changes in condition or behavior and ensure appropriate follow-up and communication Support collaboration with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to provide well-rounded care Driving Operational Excellence and AccountabilityKeep daily operations running smoothly by anticipating needs, solving problems, and supporting staff in real time Reinforce expectations around documentation, safety, and service delivery Support compliance with state regulations and organizational standards through consistent practices-not just oversight Partner with leadership to prepare for surveys, audits, and continuous improvement efforts Managing Staffing and Resources ResponsiblyEnsure staffing supports both quality care and team sustainability Monitor attendance, scheduling, and staffing patterns to promote accountability and consistency Actively work to reduce overtime and reliance on agency staffing through thoughtful planning and team engagement Use resources wisely, balancing operational needs with financial stewardship Supporting a Safe and Well-Maintained EnvironmentEnsure the community is clean, safe, and welcoming for Villagers, families, and staff Reinforce safety practices and infection control standards in everyday operations Provide leadership and support during incidents or emergencies Strengthening Communication and CollaborationMaintain open, respectful communication with families, caregivers, and team members Partner across departments to ensure coordinated care and a seamless Villager experience Keep leadership informed of operational trends, challenges, and opportunities Other ResponsibilitiesSupport community events, initiatives, and special projects Perform other duties in the best interest of Annandale Village and the Villagers we serve Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Nursing, or related fieldOR equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in assisted living, healthcare, or residential services Prior leadership or supervisory experience required Working knowledge of assisted living regulations preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations Employment RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License, proof of insurance, and acceptable MVR Must pass GBI and FBI background checks (including fingerprinting) Must pass drug screening and tuberculosis screening Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals throughout the day Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance Ability to assist Villagers in and out of vehicles Ability to perform CPR/First Aid as required Personal Skills and TraitsStrong leadership presence with a people-first mindset Ability to balance operational needs with dignity-driven care Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Clear, respectful communicator Commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Why Work at Annandale VillageAt Annandale Village, you're part of something bigger-creating meaningful lives through connection, care, and community.We offer:Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Professional development opportunities Employee recognition and appreciation programs AcknowledgementThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and may be modified as needed to meet organizational needs.Happiness Works Here.Full Time - Monday - Friday.
