The company plays a vital role in environmental stewardship within the region, serving a diverse range of clients.Location:Work Remotely-(Projects throughout the Southeast)Job Type:Part-Time - Full-Time (Internships Considered)Pay:Based on experienceRole Description:We are seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist for environmental investigation and remediation projects in the SE. This position includes a mix of fieldwork with some data entry office responsibilities (depending on aptitude and experience), including soil/groundwater/surface water sampling, data analysis, and technical reporting. Position may also entail assisting our senior drill staff with direct push and auger drilling as well as subsurface remediation. This is an entry level position with plenty of room to grow in this industry. Responsibilities:Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, and air sampling at UST/HRSA/RCRA sitesAssist with “hands-on” site remediation including system installation, excavation, chemical oxidation, etc.Assist with Phase I/II Environmental Site AssessmentsDrilling assistance with environmental and geotechnical projectsResponsible for detailed note taking in the field along with completion and required forms and daily time trackingMaintain field equipment and ensure safety compliancePrepare/assist with technical reports and documentationPrepare aerial and site maps using ACAD, GIS, or other conventional software platformsQualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related fieldEntry level position. 1-2 years’ experience preferred (internships accepted)Valid driver’s license with clean driving recordStrong writing and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to perform physical fieldwork and work outdoorsPreferred:OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)Experience with environmental samplingFamiliarity with GIS, ArcGIS, or AutoCAD/CADD a plusWork Environment:Mostly field work and some office workOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsPhysically demanding tasks including lifting (50+ lbs.), bending, and climbingAdditional Requirements:Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel and work extended hours when neededDetail-oriented and safety-focused We look forward to meeting our new team member!!
