Process Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Process Engineer to support an Industrial Client! This opportunity is based out of Macon, GA, and will be on site 5x a week. This individual will be responsible for optimizing molded fiber manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading quality-focused production efforts. The engineer will partner closely with operations, production leadership, technicians, and plant management to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, hands-on process engineering experience, supervisory leadership capabilities, and expertise in pulp/fiber processing environments. This role offers significant visibility within plant operations and the opportunity to make a direct impact on production efficiency, quality performance, and safety initiatives. Responsibilities:Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, improve quality, increase throughput, and reduce scrapTroubleshoot manufacturing and processing issuesDevelop and maintain engineering and process documentationEstablish machine setup and processing parametersCreate standardized molding procedures across all shiftsMonitor production efficiencies and collaborate with Production ManagementConduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and process capability studiesSupport capital equipment evaluations and justificationsLead laboratory and process technician teamsOversee testing procedures and plant quality programsRespond to internal and external quality concernsManage NSF audits and GMP compliance standardsPromote and enforce workplace safety initiativesReport safety hazards and maintain safety compliancePerform additional engineering and operational duties as assigned
