Job Summary: The Senior Control System Engineer is responsible for specifying, designing, and validating complex control system sub-systems, including both software and hardware components. This role involves developing mathematical models, simulations, and ensuring that system implementations meet validated requirements. The engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality, safety-critical system solutions on time, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting certification and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and define control system requirements with stakeholders Develop and validate system models, simulations, and design artifacts Perform functional analysis and ensure system meets validated requirements Allocate requirements and support verification planning and execution Design and review system-level test cases and validation strategies Support problem investigation, testing, and issue resolution Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for system integration Document analysis, design, and validation results through reports Identify and manage risks related to system performance and safety Support certification activities and act as liaison with regulatory bodies (FAA/DoD) Ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering work products Required Skills: Strong experience in control systems design, validation, and simulation Knowledge of safety-critical system development (e.g., aerospace systems) Experience with system modeling and analysis tools Understanding of software and hardware development lifecycle constraints Ability to interpret test results and provide technical conclusions Risk identification and mitigation skills Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage tasks and deliver within deadlines Preferred Skills: Experience with ARP4754A or DO-178C standards Experience working with FAA or DoD certification processes Background in aircraft engine systems or related domains Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments Certifications: FAA or DoD certification/qualification experience (preferred) Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline Education: Bachelors Degree
