Contracts Professional
PSE is seeking a Contracts Professional to manage the full contracts lifecycle across a diverse portfolio of projects and integrate contractual operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will work effectively within a fast-paced, small-business, cross-functional environment to manage contracts effectively, mitigate risks, and support strategic business objectives. ResponsibilitiesOversee contract administration and execution including drafting, reviewing, managing modifications, monitoring performance, and identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.Support the development of competitive proposals to include advising on contractual terms, compliance requirements, and pricing strategies.Provide guidance to internal teams and management on contractual obligations including interpretation of contract terms and conditions.Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, organizational policies, and applicable laws and regulations.Effectively communicate and coordinate with project, finance, operations, and other internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and effective execution of contractual requirements.Maintain contract documentation, ensuring records are complete, up to date, compliant, and support audit readiness.Oversee relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and partners to ensure understanding and compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.Draft, negotiate, and manage Teaming Agreements (TAs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with potential prime and subcontractor partners.Responsible for maintaining company representations and certifications and ensuring compliance with small business set-aside requirements and limitations on subcontracting.Foundational Qualifications, Skills, ExperienceExperience in federal contract management, preferably within a government defense industry contracting environment.Experience with different contract types, including Cost Plus, Fixed Price, or Time and Materials contracts.Strong understanding of the FAR/DFARS, relevant laws, and federal contract compliance requirements.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Self-motivated with the ability to perform efficiently, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and critical internal and external deadlines simultaneously.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively to internal and external customers, senior management, and executive leadership.US citizenship and ability to hold a US government security clearance.Advanced Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceContracts professional with 5+ years of government contracting (GovCon) experience.Experience with Government Contracting (GovCon) electronic resource planning (ERP) software such as Unanet.Experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance requirementsNCMA Professional Certification, with CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM Certification.Career desire to grow in this role at PSE to meet the operational needs of the contracts team.Work StructureThis role follows a hybrid model based in San Diego, CA. To support mission-critical collaboration, this role is expected to work from PSE’s San Diego facility 2-3 days per week. Remote workdays are flexible, provided they meet the operational needs of the contracts team. CompensationThe listed pay range ($100,000 - $125,000) represents a good-faith estimate of the base salary. Final compensation is determined by the applicants’ specific experience and skills relative to the role's requirements.
