Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking with RF scanners, and updating warehouse management systems such as AS400. Assist in order picking and packing processes using various tools like order pickers and OSH-approved mechanical handling equipment to ensure timely order fulfillment. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for damages, and documenting transactions accurately. Handle materials with care during stocking, loading, unloading, and distribution tasks while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards. Maintain organized storage areas by implementing effective warehouse distribution strategies and ensuring compliance with warehouse management procedures. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations. Experience Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Knowledge of materials handling techniques related to general warehouse operations Previous roles involving shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or warehouse distribution are highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge or certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or load/unload activities.
