Litigation Associate

Stites & Harbison, PLLC is a full-service law firm with 12 offices in eight states. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Litigation Attorney to join our Lexington, KY office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general civil litigation.Job Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolMust hold an active law license in good standing in Kentucky2 - 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a track record of successful outcomesExpertise in managing a portfolio of complex litigation casesExperience with all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparationExperience with legal research, writing, and analysisStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to clients and team membersAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgmentsStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlinesJob Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of complex litigation casesDevelop and execute case strategy, including case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparationConduct legal research and analysisDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requestsWork with litigation support staff to prepare cases for trialRepresent clients in court, including arguing motions, attending depositions and conducting direct and cross-examinations at hearings and trialsCollaborate with other attorneys and team members on complex legal issuesCommunicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of legal developments and advising them on legal risks and opportunitiesStay up to date with relevant legal developments and industry trendsManage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work product.We offer a competitive starting salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.
