Production Supervisor - Night Shift
General Purpose:Ensure production of a quality product while completing all assigned master sanitation. Maximize efficiency of all equipment while minimizing turn-around times. Maintain compliance of all GMP, HACCP, safety, and all other regulatory and plant policies and procedures. Achieve all production goals or report and document all reasons targets are not met. Promote safety, maintain a sanitary food environment, and strive to improve product quality. Direct and train all production employees. 5pm to 5am (2/2/3 rotating) Job Duties and Responsibilities:Support Quality/Business Management System (SAP)Ensure all product produced is within accepted specificationsVerify equipment is running within accepted parametersMaintain maximum efficiency of all equipmentAudit CIP’sPerform random inspections of equipment after CIPPeriodically check chemical strengthsEnsure all GMP, HACCP, safety, and all plant documentation and regulatory policies and procedures are followed in the production areaProvide a clean and safe environment to work in that promotes production of a safe food product, free of human health risksAchieve all production goals (KPI’s) and report and document all reasons that targets are not metEnsure MSS is followed – ATP visual inspections, chemical titrations performed, and out of tolerance correctedDirect and train all production employeesEnsure all production employees are working safely and efficientlyVerify all production employees have a clear understanding of their dutiesMaintain compliance with all operating proceduresMonitor staff performance and address any deficienciesMotivate and guide employees to enhance their performanceMaximize output and improve morale by verifying all employees are doing their fair shareSchedule and coordinate production staff on a daily basisMonitor and approve time / attendance for production staffProvide coverage when approving vacationsMaintain record of employees’ attendance and tardinessProvide knowledge base and experience to operatorsTrain operators to troubleshoot equipment by providing knowledge how equipment worksAttend required training, including but not limited to, GMP’s, HAACP, SQF, Safety, etc.Implement CI Programs including Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Leader Standard WorkFollow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED5 years of experience in dry milk production preferred5 years of managerial/leadership experience preferredSafety/OSHA knowledge and understandingNevada Department of Public Health Milk Sampler Certification preferredCertified Industry Analyst certification for PMO Appendix-N testing of Drug Residue in Milk preferredSQF Practitioner Certification Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficiency with Word, Excel, and other report writing toolsExcellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skillsInterpersonal skillsMust be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer
