This locum tenens position offers 24-hour call and the opportunity to participate in a variety of procedures, fostering a comprehensive neurological care experience.Why You'll Thrive Here:Make a Difference: Contribute your expertise to a supportive team environment, providing high-quality neurological care to patients in need.Direct Patient Care: Focus on direct patient care with a manageable patient load (6-8 patients per day), allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your patients.Advanced Technology: Utilize a comprehensive suite of diagnostic tools including lab, radiology, EEG, MRI, within a Stroke Network hospital, to ensure efficient and accurate diagnoses.24-Hour Call: Maintain a predictable call schedule with support from a team of 2-3 clinic providers to manage patient needs effectively.Competitive Compensation: Benefit from a competitive compensation package with call pay.What You'll Do:Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and assessments in the inpatient setting.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of neurological conditions.Interpret diagnostic tests such as radiologic exams, EEGs, and evoked potentials to inform treatment decisions.Perform essential neurological procedures including thrombolytic therapy, brain death exams, and other relevant procedures as needed.Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses and therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care.Document patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.Who You Are:Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Neurology (required).Current and active license to practice medicine in Michigan (required).ACLS and PALS certifications (required).Experience with the interpretation of a variety of neurological diagnostic tests (radiology, EEG, evoked potentials) (preferred).Strong clinical decision-making skills and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Join a Team Committed to Neurological Excellence:We are passionate about providing exceptional neurological care to our community.
