Software Tester Location US-VA-Chantilly ID 2026-8338 Category Information Technology Position Type Full-Time Remote No Clearance Level TS/SCI FS Poly DescriptionMarkon is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester to join a high-performing Agile team supporting 2-3 web-based applications with extensive user interfaces and web service integrations. These applications serve a large and diverse user base, including both individual users and organizations leveraging API/web service capabilities. ResponsibilitiesExecute manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) for web-based applicationsDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using SeleniumPerform API testing and validate backend integrationsContribute to test planning, test case design, and documentationDocument test execution results thoroughly within Jira and manage assigned tasks through the workflow lifecycleCollaborate daily with cross-functional team members on assigned testing tasksParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups and monthly retrospectivesHelp ensure comprehensive test coverage across all supported applicationsIdentify, document, and track defects through resolution QualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolygraphBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional testing experience)3-5 years of professional software testing experienceStrong experience with manual testing of web-based applications (functional, regression, exploratory)Experience with automated testing using SeleniumExperience with API testingBasic knowledge of SQLStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies, particularly ScrumDesired QualificationsExperience with front-end development or web servicesProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)Experience working in AWS environmentsFamiliarity with performance testing tools Salary Range USD $150,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
